With the most recent escalated restrictions in England as a whole and in the Local Area, together with the potential virulence of the new strain of the Covid 19 Virus, Galmington Dragons FC Executive Committee have decided to suspend football (training and matches) for all age groups in line with the league decision.
The Taunton Youth League have notified all clubs today that league fixtures are suspended until the 23rdJanuary.
This decision hasn’t been taken lightly, but the Executive Committee feel out of respect and safety to the Players, Officials, Volunteers and all of their families it will help protect people from unnecessary group meetings which would have the potential to fuel the virus, should any one person present unknowingly be infected.
The Executive Committee will review this decision in the middle of January and will make a decision to restart football based on whether the Virus has been controlled to the extent that we feel it is safe to resume training and matches.
